Providence College

At Providence College, you’ll find a warm, welcoming community and a rigorous academic program that is interwoven with every aspect of campus life—from extracurricular activities to community service to athletics. Located in Providence, Rhode Island you will have access to the best of small school in a large community. We are one our South of Boston and three hours north of New York City. At Providence College, our professors are deeply engaged in research and scholarship—and so are our students. Here, students have the opportunity to work side-by-side with experts in everything from literature to stem cells.

All students take a core curriculum in the Liberal Arts. We believe it prepares students for the rigors of all academia and the skills employers seek to have in their future employees. We offer over 50 different majors and 35 minors. Currently we have about 4, 700 of which 150 are international.

Our campus is enclosed with its own police department, state of the art work out facilities and residential living. While on campus, we offer a variety of activities to help you engage on your collegiate journey: 120 clubs and organizations along with the excitement of Division 1 sports. We offer everything from athletics, career focused to ultimate Frisbee for fun!

As an international student, you’ll receive the personal attention you need to make the transition seamless—something rarely found on larger college campuses. Our International Student Welcome Program will help you get acquainted with campus, while the Center for Global Education and Dean of International Student Success will provide support throughout your college career. Through the International Student Organization (ISO) and the many other student clubs on campus, you can easily make new friends and find a supportive community for your four years at Providence College – and beyond.
