Founded in 1837, Knox College is a private four-year residential liberal arts institution in the heart of the country. We’re one of the most diverse campuses in America, with 1,200 students from 51 countries. U.S. News & World Report has named us a Best Value College for more than a decade and we have been included in the groundbreaking guide Colleges That Change Lives since the
book was first published.

At Knox, we offer more than 60 courses of study, have an average class size of 14 students, a student- faculty ratio of 11:1, and we have been recognized by U.S. News as one of the top schools for undergraduate teaching. Every student receives funding to take what they learn in the classroom and put it to work in the world through an internship, independent research or creative project, community service, or study abroad, giving Knox students a head start on success after graduation.

Specialization

As a liberal arts college – Knox provides a multi-faceted liberal arts education, wherein students take a range of courses in science, business, humanities, and the arts – leading to the creation of critical thinkers pertinent for a 21st century world.
