Fordham University
Fordham University, the Jesuit University of New York, is located on two urban campus locations in diverse and tolerant New York City: our 85 acre Rose Hill campus in the Bronx and our vertical Lincoln Center campus in the heart of Manhattan. Fordham has 16,000 total students. About half of these students study at the undergraduate level. 9% of our undergraduate students are international, and they come to Fordham from over 80 countries. We are a medium size university, yet our average class size is 22 students and the student:faculty ratio is 13:1. At Fordham students major in arts, business, communications, humanities, languages, and sciences after completing our broad liberal arts core curriculum. In addition to dynamic engagement in the classroom we encourage our students to capitalize on the unparalleled practical opportunities available to them in New York City, including community service, research and internships, We guarantee University housing for four years if desired, but on campus housing is not required at Fordham. We have over 225 campus clubs and organizations and are NCAA Division I in our athletics program with a variety of men’s and women’s varsity sports, club sports and intramurals. Fordham offers athletic scholarships, merit scholarships and need based financial aid to international applicants. All of these awards are very competitive and some require a separate aid application. The current cost of attendance at Fordham is approximately $80,000/year. Students who attend Fordham will engage with New York City, and the world, in transforming and inspiring ways.
